Electric cars aren't just regular cars that plug in, at least not from a detailer's side of it. Tesla's factory paint is notably softer than most, which means it swirls faster and shows every automatic-wash brush mark. The interiors are mostly one enormous glass screen and vegan leather, both of which hate the products that live under most people's kitchen sinks. And there's no engine bay to clean — but there is a frunk, a charge port and a lot of glossy black trim that scratches if you look at it wrong.
Why EVs need a different approach
Tesla and other EVs aren't detailed the same way as a truck:
- Soft paint. Tesla clear coat marks easily. We wash with the two-bucket method and soft media, never brushes, and correct with pads and compounds chosen for soft paint rather than the standard truck-grade combination.
- Screens and piano black. The center display and the gloss-black trim are the two most scratch-prone surfaces in the car. They get dedicated microfiber and screen-safe products — no ammonia, no all-purpose cleaner.
- Vegan leather and Alcantara. Tesla's synthetic upholstery cleans up beautifully and stains permanently if you use the wrong thing. Blue jean dye transfer on white interiors is the classic one, and it is very fixable when it's caught early.
- Charging at home means washing at home. EV owners drive to a gas station roughly never, which is exactly why mobile detailing fits the car. We come to your driveway or your office parking stall.

Pricing follows the standard detailing price list by vehicle size — a Model 3 prices as a sedan, a Model Y or X as an SUV.
Ceramic coating makes more sense on an EV than most cars
