System X Ceramic Coating in Utah — From a Certified Installer
System X is the coating we install, and we're a certified installer — which matters more than it sounds. System X's multi-year warranties only apply when the coating is applied by a trained, registered installer and the install is registered with the manufacturer. Why certified installation matters
Three things you only get from a certified install: the manufacturer warranty is registered in your name and actually enforceable; the paint prep is done properly (decontamination and correction before coating, not after); and the coating is applied and cured in controlled conditions rather than in whatever weather the driveway offers that day. Consumer-grade "ceramic" sprays are a different category of product entirely — they're a wax substitute measured in months.
Why Utah is hard on paint — and why coating pays here
High-altitude UV, mag chloride and road salt from November through March, summer monsoon dust, and some of the hardest water in the country. Wax gives up after six to eight weeks of that. A coating means winter chemicals rinse off instead of etching in, hard-water spots sit on the surface instead of bonding to clear coat, and washes get dramatically easier. What the process looks like
From consult to aftercare:
- Consult and quote — we look at the paint, agree the tier and whether correction is needed.
- Decontamination — wash, iron decon, clay bar.
- Paint correction — machine polish to remove swirls and defects. More on paint correction →
- Panel prep — isopropyl wipe-down so the coating bonds to bare clear coat.
- Application and cure — panel by panel.
- Warranty registration — filed with System X in your name.
- Aftercare — wash instructions, and an annual maintenance option that keeps the warranty active.
